Rolling Out Blog's Design Refinements

I will be rolling out my refined and updated blog's design in the next few days. This will be done over 2 phases and a third optional phase. I intend to conduction phase one on Monday, 22 July 2013, and then phase two on Tuesday, 23 July 2013. In phase one, the main/default page of Alex’s World will be updated, as well as the content of the new sections will be uploaded. Phase two will be an update of all the remaining sections with the refined design. A third phase may be required if further refinements are required as a result of the refined design. If required, the third phase will be carried out on Wednesday, 24 July 2013.

This version of my blog’s design refinement will also see some content reorganisation. I will be removing the “Gallery” section and replacing it with “Heritage” section. I will also be refining some of the features available on the blog to enhance their capabilities. So please bear with me meanwhile. I apologise for any inconvenience caused during the process.

If you want to report any bugs you have noticed during the process: please comment them below. Thank you! Happy Smiley I will really appreciate them.

Catching Up And Fine Tuning

It has been awhile since I've been posting anything. So I thought I better update you with what's happening here.

First of all, work has again caught up with me. Thus, managing my time with my work priority first.

Secondly, I realised that there are some bugs and dead links on my blog which I want to fine tune them.

Thirdly, I'm trying to focus this blog to focus solely on my non-professional hobbies and interest. While, http://blog.alexqchen.com/ focuses on topics that are related to my professional interest (Please visit it). Therefore, I will be not only fine tuning the blog, but there will be some changes. They will not be major design or layout changes, but more of content management changes: To keep the blog in line with what I want it to be. Meanwhile, please bear with me and hopefully I'll get my blog up and running again in no time. Very Happy Smiley

Thank you

Did My Blogging Stalled?

It's been awhile since I last blog anything. So did my blogging stalled? What has happened?

I'm very appreciative for those of you who keep coming back to check on this blog, and the answer is I'm still in!

It's my final months of my PhD course and I'm busy writing away for a couple of months now. Though I'm done with draft one, I'm redrafting bits of it and I'm almost through with draft 2. Enough of the boring stuff, in short please do stay tune as I will try to blog whenever I can find a gap in my time.

THANK YOU for keep returning.

Who's KING of Browser?

Browser Pie Chart

Recently I did a compilation of my blog's user statistics to investigate the type of Web users visited my blog. These records were taken between 19 July 2010 and 12 Nov 2010, a snapshot of the last 4 months. The percentages of the types of browsers my visitors use include Microsoft IE (55.19%), Firefox (28.63%), Safari (8.61%), Google Chrome (6.85%), Opera (0.62%), and others (0.10%). Noting that I mainly, interchangeably use Firefox and Safari, so from the data it gives a good reflection of my actual users.

After all the hype about Web browsers wars between Firefox, Google Chrome, and Microsoft IE; which many "tech savvy" users can witness, the data presented here still shows that Microsoft IE is still much ahead than the rest. Though I not saying that their users rate have not fallen, but much of the users of the Web still trust and believe in them.

Lost In The Blue

Sky Watch Photo

Hi all, I'm back blogging again. Sorry for my absence for the past one month and a bit. Opps! Smiley So happy to start blogging again!

Finally, I've managed to lighten my load and get through another year. Phew...! Suddenly it feels so empty and quiet. A little lonesome niche to get away from it all. Above is a photo I've taken two weeks ago. I felt that it expresses the way I'm feeling now.

For more sky watching, enjoy the beautiful skies from all over the world at Sky Watch Friday
