Heinz Memorial Chapel In the Snow

Heinz Memorial Chapel in the snow - Pittsburgh

I have received some very nice comments from all of you out there recently. In particular, Felicia, who requested to see some snow for winter. And I think you can't have winter without snow is it? So this week, I thought I would post something with snow since it snowed for almost the entire week. I hope you will like the shot of Heinz Memorial Chapel in the snow, taken from Forbes Avenue in Pittsburgh.

Winter Is Properly Here

Walnut Street at Night in Pittsburgh

If you recall in my last article, I posted that winter is being held back. However, now we are properly into it. The photo above was taken at dusk on Walnut Street, facing towards South Aiken Avenue. The silhouette of a tall building in the backdrop is the Cathedral of Learning at University of Pittsburgh.

Winter Is Late. What Is Holding It Back?

Winter is late in Pittsburgh

Winter is arriving late in Pittsburgh. Weather reports early in November suggest that, due to the Albedo effect, this year's winter will be drier than other years in Pittsburgh. The positive side of it is, we have a longer Fall/Autumn.

The photo in this post was taken on Ellsworth Avenue, between College Street and Spahr Street.

How difficult is it to steal a bike?

Many of us may think that your bike/bicycle will be safe if you lock/chain it properly with good equipment. So how difficult is it for thieves to steal them? The following video by The Neistat Brothers demonstrated how easy for a bike thief to steal your bicycle. Noticing the video, in most the scene there is at least a police vehicle nearby! Out of ignorance and curiosity, can anyone verify the claim of the video. Are the police in New York city oblivious to these things or do they just turn a blind eye?
