Wired Or Wireless?

The Web has become an essential to our daily life in today's world. More and more are connecting to the Internet either wireless or through a cable from a computer. So what type of Internet users are you? Do you prefer to connect to the Internet via a cable or wireless?

Recent years saw an outburst of WiFi zones/spots all over the world, making Internet ready available for all. A town in Britain has also began a free wireless scheme to its entire population. In Singapore, the government provides free WiFi in most public places. So how has WiFi caught up with your method of connecting to the Internet? I must confess, I still prefer connecting to the Internet via a cable. That's because it is more stable and faster, though you have more freedom with wireless.

i have to admit, i benefit from the free wi-fi most especially at work. it makes life easier i guess! Happy Smiley

I'm also using a cable to connect to the internet but sometimes I use my cellphone instead. I think it's a good thing to not always be connected...

We have four computers for each family members and only one get to use the main cable while the rest use wireless. Laptops have been so cheap and it is affordable just to have one each just like the televisions...lol.

OK so the majority of us prefer WiFi and all of us have used it in a way or another. I think we all can also agree that WiFi do give us the flexibility to work wherever we want. However, some of us still feels that wired is much better, and that includes me.

I love our house wireless. We don't have that many wireless places in MT yet. Only in the coffee shops....

I meant four computers for the whole family and that is one for each of us...lol. And youngest son just got a netbook costs less than $500 from an IT exhibition at Suntec City. (I now realised the difference between netbook and notebook...geez a long way to catch up with new technology.)
