Romantic Night Spots in Manchester: Part 1

I was on the tram yesterday and I over hear a conversation about beautiful nightspots for a nice stroll that is also romantic in Manchester. I thought hard and identified a few locations. Thus, over the next few weeks I will roll out a series of locations in and nearby Manchester city that I think could be ideal both for a nice stroll and would be romantic. This is the first of the series and I look forward to your comments.

It's about time we throw away the city's bins? A vandalism in the city of Westminster that I captured.

Language Settings in Microsoft Office

This may sounds straight forward and trivial, but think again. I tried changing my dictionary settings in my Microsoft Office for Word, Power Point and Excel. Because this is not something you will do everyday, it took me 2 hours figure it out! That's why I've decided to blog about it for future reference and for all of your who needs it.

For Word, Power Point or Excel:

  1. Highlight the text affected
  2. Select "Tools" from the menu bar.
  3. Under "Tools", select "Language"
  4. Mark selected text as: select "English (United Kingdom)"
  5. Select "Default"
  6. Accept the warning that it will affect this presentation and all future presentations. (which it obviously does not.
  7. Click on "OK"
  8. Exit and save document and reopen

Food Review: Harvester Lowry 2012

It’s been awhile since I last blog, so I thought a venue I can start blogging again is to review restaurants. To begin I will start with a restaurant I’ve been on 2 occasions: Harvester Lowry in Salford Quays, UK.

During my first visit in May 2012, we had a main course and a dessert. The main course was fairly average quality, but the dessert was terrible. Our sundae came melted and liquidity. When we confronted the manager to change it, the manager challenged and insulted our knowledge about how a sundae should be. In the end, we decided not to eat it and just pay the bill. At this point, the manager decided not to charge us for the sundae, which turned out to be a fair settlement.

Today, 23 Dec 2012, was our second visit; we thought we should give it a second chance. This round we only had main courses, and the service was as slow as ever, and the food was fairly average again, but the salad does not seem fresh. Furthermore, my partner complained her lamb was raw, which the waitress took it back to the kitchen for further cooking.

My verdict for Harvester Lowry in Salford Quays, UK in 2012 is as follows:
